The FTSE All-World is a global stock index from FTSE Russell with more than 4,000 large and mid-sized companies from around 50 developed and emerging countries. It is very similar to the MSCI ACWI but classifies some countries differently, such as South Korea. It is weighted by market value, so the US has the largest share.

The FTSE All-World comes from the index provider FTSE Russell. It holds large and mid-sized companies from developed and emerging markets, more than 4,000 stocks from around 50 countries in total.

It closely resembles the MSCI ACWI: weighted by market value, with the US as the largest part and emerging markets at about one tenth. The differences lie in how some countries are classified; South Korea, for example, counts as developed at FTSE and as emerging at MSCI. Over the long run both indices move very similarly.

Example: a popular ETF on the FTSE All-World comes in a distributing and an accumulating version, so you can choose whether dividends are paid out or reinvested.
