As of 5 Oct 2026, 17:51What does Tesla do?
Tesla, based in Austin, Texas, builds electric cars such as the Model Y and Model 3. The Model Y is also made at its plant near Berlin. It also sells large batteries for the power grid and the Powerwall for homes. CEO Elon Musk wants future profits to come mainly from self-driving robotaxis and humanoid robots. So far, that brings in very little revenue.
From Teslas on the Autobahn, Superchargers at motorway service areas, and the Gigafactory near Berlin.
