Dividend yield (Dividendenrendite)

The dividend per share relative to the current share price, expressed as a percentage.

In short

As of 5 October 2026

The dividend yield is the dividend per share relative to the current share price, in percent. The formula: dividend per share divided by share price, times 100. If a share costs 50 euros and pays a 2 euro dividend, the yield is 4 percent. Very high figures often appear because the share price has fallen sharply.

Dividend yield shows how much dividend you receive relative to the price. Formula: dividend per share divided by share price, times 100.

Example: a share costs 50 euros and pays a 2-euro dividend. The dividend yield is 4 %.

Be careful with very high values. A high yield often appears because the price has fallen sharply, for example due to problems at the company, which also makes the next dividend uncertain. The figure says nothing about price gains or losses.
